This beautiful daytrip commences with the collection of guests, where after we drive towards
Paranam, where breakfast in consumed. After the explanation of the history of the area and the huge aluminum plant owned by Alcoa, we continue our journey to Stone Island.

Stone Island is a peninsula in the van Blommenstein lake, which offers you a breathtaking view of the lake with its typical tree trunks emerging from the water, but which are still perfectly conserved. After arrival we cruise over the lake in a dugout canoe, where you will surely enjoy the splendid view and the rich flora and fauna. En route you will have the opportunity to catch some Peacock Bass or the famous Piranha’s.

Upon return to the island lunch will be served and u are free to wander about, dip in the lake, sunbathe, play with the local pets or lie in the hammock and enjoy some relax time. In the early evening hours we return to Paramaribo, and you will surely have enjoyed a wonderful day of adventure, nature and wildlife.
