This marvelous tour takes you to the Amer-Indian village Palumeu, where the tribes named Trio’s and Warana’s live and from where the journey will be continued by canoe. This is also the venue where the first night will be spent after making acquaintance with the local villagers. Early the next morning we continue to camp Kamakabari and where the less luxurious night will be spent.

On day 3 the journey will be discontinued at the Trombaka rapids, which is one of the most impressive of the area and where the luggage will be carried to the base-camp at the foot of the Sawaniboto rapids. The 4th day will consist of an intensive hike to the summits of the Kasikasima-mountains and where you will have a breathtaking view of the Amazone forest.

The 5th day is spent on a hike through the forest in the area where the guide will tell about the fauna and about the use of flora for either building materials or medicinal purposes. At the start of day 6 the journey is continued by heading back. This will take place in less time than it did to reach Kasikasima, for we will now head downstream, and the night will be spent at Palumeu.

On day 7 the journey back to Paramaribo will commence by airtaxi and we are sure that you will have had acommendable experience worth mentioning to your friends and family.
